Community Engagement 2026 @ PALS (Place for Academic Learning And Support):
Building Beyond the Story
In 2026, we returned to the Place for Academic Learning And Support (PALS) for another meaningful session with the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF), welcoming a new group of students to continue the creative journey we did last year: https://minifiglabs.com/csr-ccf-community-engagement-2025
This time, the students had the opportunity to put their own spin on Bunbun, the character featured in our storyline. With their own inventory of LEGO® parts at hand, they explored different pieces, experimented with new ideas, and added their own creative touches to bring their versions of Bunbun to life. It was delightful to see how each student interpreted Bunbun differently, with every creation taking on its own unique character. The activity gave the students the freedom to explore their imagination, express their individuality, and discover the many possibilities of building with LEGO® parts.
Our volunteers had just as much fun participating in the activity, sharing the excitement as the students brought their ideas to life. The session was filled with laughter, creativity, and wonderful moments of connection, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Take a look at the students’ unique Bunbun creations below!

We are grateful to CCF for continuing to provide us with opportunities to engage with the students through creative and meaningful activities. We look forward to more opportunities to inspire imagination, encourage self-expression, and create joyful memories together in the years ahead.
